SA vs DA vs DA/SA

I've never carried a handgun with a manual safety, so my preference is DAO or DA/SA. In a DAO action, Sig's DAK is a very sweet trigger to shoot with, very very revolver like in feel. However, my personal carry choice is currently a Sig P239 with the DA/SA trigger. When I've been practicing with it the transition doesn't bother me a bit. However after spending most of my range time this summer shooting my 617 to save money I've found that I am now a bit more accurate with the P239 on the first DA shot than I am with the subsequent SA shots.

I love shooting 1911s but I don't find them ideal for carry. A big problem, as mentioned, is no safe way to go from Condition 1 to Condition 2 without unchambering the round. Having to rechamber rounds, especially on a 8 round rotation, could get dangerous fast.

Ive carried DASA, SAO, DAO, and I currently love the M&P9 with only the mag disconnect safety.

I prefer "Condition Zero" as offered by the current combat tupperware...

I like my 649, SA/DA with nothing to snag, as I like most folks am more accurate in SA which works well since it has CT Laser grips. In an auto I like the MP9c in DAO. The gun was designed primarily to be a concealed weapon aimed (no pun intended), at the LEO market. My second auto is the Bersa Thunder CC and while it is SA/DA I never carry it cocked and locked.
