Good Morning Everybody!

Do you realize that this year is 1/6th over? My, how time gets away when you are having fun, or something like that.

I've had about all the fun I can handle for the last couple of weeks. Last week, or the week before, I can't remember, had to have the windshield replaced in the Putt Mobile, this week chased down an oil leak in the lawn mower. Replaced the valve cover gasket where the leak was, changed the oil and replaced air filters while I was working on it. Took it for a Victory Lap around the yard yesterday before I put it up. Now the refrigerator is on the blink, and it's only 3 years old.

Now, I've got all the whining and complaining out of the way.

How is everybody doing? The weather sure has been nice, it's 71° at the moment and is supposed reach almost 80 this afternoon. Stormy weather is possible in Dixie when the temps are this warm this time of the year.

Spent one morning at the range shooting my old Marlin and the Ruger Mk II's, sure was fun, except when my Buddy was on one side with a .308 and another guy was on the other side shooting some old 1960's 30-06 shells. I didn't shoot very good but I had fun trying.

We are re-scheduled to get a virus shot this week, much better than having to wait until May.

If you pray, please do so for my MBH. She is having serious problems with her right eye.

Does anyone still have snow on the ground? We have had probably a half dozen flurries already this season, which is enough to last me another 5 or 10 years. The roses are starting to bud, along with the fig tree. My brother brought some pans by this morning to plant some tomato seeds in. They look like the aluminum cooking pans with a plastic top, perfect to punch holes in and keep the wind off the plants. It's gonna be SPRING before you know it.

Enough!! If I don't stop someone might throw rocks!

Ya'll take care this week and tell someone you love them, (and really mean it).

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Good day everyone. I woke up to seeing the water coming down in liquid form instead of white flakes. That should melt off the remaining snow on the ground. It seems like we've had a lot more snowstorms this year compared to last year.

Your description of all the things you did makes me tired just reading it. I took one of the Batmobiles in for an oil change. Being retired has sure made a difference in my car maintenance schedule. When I was commuting 90 miles a day I was having to get an oil change about every 6 weeks. Now it's down to about every 5 months. I was raised on changing oil every 3000 miles or 3 months, so the extended maintenance schedules for newer cars is taking me a little while to get used to.

My uncle and I did our morning texts so that means my aunt, uncle and I are OK another day.

Yesterday I discovered my watch stopped, so I'll go to the jeweler at the nearby mall who has changed out batteries for me before. I hope that is all it is. I've had this watch for almost 30 years and it would be hard to replace.

Everybody have a great day.

Bless all-y'all!

Raining pine pollen here and should hit 80° today. Had a wonderful walk this morn.

I'm scheduled for the Pfizer shot tomorrow.

We were working with a large (80 pound) six-month old GSD pup this week. I got sloppy and let him get my right hand. Didn't have my gloves on and I know better. He was protecting his owner's toy and when training you never reach in with your strong hand. He's actually socializing well and like I say, I know better. I'm very fortunate.

I made it to the range Thursday. Had a great time with the CZ 452 (.22). It has the long, almost 29" barrel. It's almost as quiet as a suppressed .22.

Oh, and finished the taxes on Friday. I have a great CPA.

Count your blessings, one-by-one!

Thank you again for your Sunday missive Leon.

I look forward to hearing from you every Sunday. You have a way of balancing life's travails with the good stuff.

Congratulations on your vaccine appointment! Take care of your MBH.

Greetings brothers and sisters! May the Lord bless you and keep you, including with your S&W's.

We attend church in person every other week now to keep social distancing in our ward (congregation), and this was our week to go. It's great to see neighbors and friends in our spiritual setting. The off weeks we watch our service on Zoom, so we do "attend" every week.

After cleaning the church for the next ward's meeting (three meet in our building), we got back home and joined in Zoom meetings for our second hour, the one like Sunday School, but this week it was Priesthood and my wife attended Relief Society, our women's organization. Always an uplifting way for each of us to recharge our spiritual batteries for the coming week.

We came home and had the home made vegetable beef soup we worked on yesterday. The four gallon pot we used for the two of us also fed 11 of our children/grandchildren and five neighbor singles. Home made corn bread too. Good for the tummies and souls while we watch the latest 1" of snow disappear from here in the valleys. The mountains have plenty left to keep us wet through the summer. The 11,750' Mt. Timp usually visible above our back yard is obscured in clouds today.

Yes, I worked on some guns this week. Lots to do at the range next week. Had a cracked molar pulled that ached for 10 days before I could get it out. Still a little swollen and sore. My wife had retina surgery 10 days ago, so we are both "in recovery".

I enjoy all aspects of this forum. I have learned lots and come to respect so many members. Bless you all.

Our day is winding down. The wife and I bought a mini camper from XYZ Camping in Herndon, PA. so my brother and I (mostly him) installed a trailer hitch and wiring harness on my Dodge Journey. Had dinner with my mom (who is homebound) and watched a little TV with her before heading home. I take her to all her doctor appts, and she has one Monday and another Tuesday. We both have had both vaccine injections and my wife gets her 2nd on Tuesday.

Looking forward to a better year in 2021. Waiting for our camper to be delivered so we can "renovate" it for camping with our 2 beagles. We're blessed that neither of us has been infected or sick this past year. Hoping that everyone here has a better year, thoughts and prayers to all :-)

Yesterday was a pretty day but a little cool, had two of the great Grandchildren and took them both to Church. Had a great service. First time I have been able to go in the past few weeks. Was really great.

Anyway rained most of the day today but supposed to be cleared off and warmer tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a blessed and safe week.
