Ole Joe Clark
Absent Comrade
Good Morning ya'll, it's Sunday again. The days, weeks and years are flying by. It's been a long time since 1943, when I came into this world. Every time I stop to catch my breath I notice another year or two has slipped up on me.
Don't laugh, some of you were born in the 1st half of the LAST CENTURY also. Time flies when you are having fun, but I've noticed that having fun these days has a different meaning than it did 50 years ago. Most of the time it just means getting back home safely from a Doctor's appointment, grocery buying, or some such necessary chore. The other day while going to visit a Doctor I kept noticing a car swerving and speeding up and slowing down, then I saw the guy texting and driving. I'd had a bait of the unsafe nonsense and leaned heavily on the car horn. He suddenly stopped weaving and speeded up and away, at least he wasn't using two lanes.
We got the first of the two virus shots this week. My shoulder is about well and I can't use that as an excuse for my lousy guitar picking any more. Already have an appointment for shot #2 in a month.
Speaking of guitar pickin', we had a great jam last Tuesday night. I just about had to run the other guys off. Sometimes things just click and it was one of those times. We even worked on "Sweet Georgia Brown," a good jamming tune. I love traditional bluegrass, but I also like tunes that are more than 3 chords and a cloud of dust.
Supposed to be beautiful all this next week and I really need to finish up the Winter yard work. The robins are taking over the place and I love to see them. The daffodils' are blooming too, and it's almost time to get those tomato seed in a pot.
Have a great and safe week, gotta get dressed for Church in a few minutes.
Ya'll have a great week. Hug your loved ones and tell them you really do love them.
Have a blessed Sabbath,
Leon
