Good Morning to my old Geezer friends and acquaintances. Since I found out I am a Certified Old Geezer, I'm really trying to take advantage of it. Seems like there should be a 20% discount on all beautiful S&W revolvers, especially the "Vintage" 5 screw ones. If I find one I'll be sure to let everybody know.

It's a beautiful Sabbath Day in Dixie today, 58° at the moment, and I can smell the coffee brewing.

Today is race day, bicycle race that is. It used to be called Cheaha Challenge, not sure what today's edition is called. Our Son-in-Law's start time is in about 30 minutes. He has really been training for this, it's about 110 miles of mountain roads with lots of steep hills and valleys. There are over 1500 entrants today. I plan on staying away from them all, and pray for their safety.

My "official" weigh in day is Sunday, and today was a shock, I weighed 149.8 on the "Fat Meter". My goal is to maintain 150/155 #, and the Colonoscopy prep made me drop the last pound or two, and haven't regained any of it.

Lots of interesting posts on the forum this week, my IQ has went up at least 10 points since I've been hanging out here. I no longer haul gas in plastic bags, and things like that. :-)

The post about the reissue of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" is very moving. You should watch it. I've been praying for Rusty's Daughter that was in the wreck, and other folks that have loved ones in need of a miracle, and I hope you have.

Enough of my Ramblings today! Have a wonderful blessed Sabbath and if you have loved ones around, hug them and tell them you love them, but only if you really mean it.

Had a wonderful weekend, daughter & granddaughters came to visit and celebrate my Bday & Mother's Day (late). Good food, good wine, good times visiting. And we could hug each other! Daughter was especially excited that she was able to meet her brand new great-nephew. And visit her Grandmother (her Dad's side of family) who is 95 and still doing well.
Thank you Lord for our many blessings!

Good evening everybody. I just got back from up around Punxsutawney. We had a Celebration of Life for my cousin Billy who had died back in March. We started with a short ceremony at the graveyard where a lot of my family is buried. Billy was cremated and a square hole was dug for the urn. Suddenly my brother pulled out a flask he was carrying and poured a last drink for Billy into the hole for the urn. Of course, we didn't want Billy to drink alone so my brother passed the flask around.

The Governor here loosened up some of his edicts yesterday, so it was wonderful to be able to be at the ceremony and hug my aunt, my first cousins and their children.

Somebody put together a fantastic montage of photographs to show Billy's life. His brother gave a wonderful eulogy of the full life that Billy led. Billy and I grew up together as kids. I got to tell some of the younger folks how when Billy and I were both living in Maryland that we got to be extras in the movie "Major League II" when part of it was filmed in Baltimore. He was a great guy and I'm glad we were able to give him a nice sendoff.

As usual, I look forward to this post! This has been an exceptional week in my woods, very thankful. Springtime in Michigan is a joyous time indeed!

Due to daughter and SIL being out of town on Mother’s Day, we celebrated today with some filets on the grill. What a beautiful day!
