I have a Saeco 6 cavity mold that the wood handles are totally shot.

Anyone know of a source to obtain a replacement set of just the wood not the entire handle.

I tried using a 1" oak dowel but they split length wise after about 5-6 taps with the wood mallet cutting the oveflow sprew.

I am going to try to use gorilla glue and see if that will help strengthen them enough so that the splitting is a non issue.

Any other ideas fellow forum members?

You usually need to add a ferrule at the end of mould handles to prevent splitting. I've see guys use simple copper pipe caps with a hole in them for the handles and fit the wood to the ferrules pretty snugly.

You could also try wrapping them with rawhide.
I just read somewhere that the Lee 6 cavity handles can be made to fit the Saeco as well as the Lyman molds. Might take some rigging though.
