So I bought one of these wild little Safelert. Just curious what would be the absolute best temperature and humidity for a gun safe?
It's recommended to monitor humidity and temperature. Many say that a 50% relative humidity and temperature of 70°F is generally safe for storage of guns and bullets but always check with the manufacturer of your handgun or rifle for specific conditions.
I use Sack Up silicone treated gun socks on the firearms I store in my Golden Rod equipped Fort Knox gun safe to wick away moisture, prevents dings and scratches, maximize space, and keep my guns looking good. The gun socks proved their worth when Hurrican Florence blew through our neighborhood and took out electrical power for two weeks. The stuff I had stored in my safe weathered the storm with no hint of moisture buildup.
