This FBI 1076 comes in the #s matching box that says it was shipped to the FBI Academy and returned to S&W as a used gun. This was a retired agents buy back gun and was left to me by his widow. Talked to Roy Jinks at S&W and he said the gun was manufactured in May of 1990. The serial # is TFP 32xx. Also comes with 17 magazines which only two of them look like they have ever been used. 17 new S&W magazine springs. Also comes with 4 sets of grips the palm swell, the curved, the straight, and one that's just a little bit different than the curved grip at the bottom. All three of them have a dot on the bottom but this one just has a "p" I was told that it was a prototype and there were very few ever made. Also comes with one full box of Federal XM100A the experimental load that Federal was developing for the FBI. The real rare box is Winchester Western marked sample "C" restricted sale to law enforcement only. I spoke with Winchester and they said they were trying to develop a load for the gun as well and pulled out of it when Federal got evolved. I was told they made very few of these. Will also come with 6 full boxes of Federal Classic 10c 180 grain HI-SHOCK jhp the load the FBI finally went with. The pistol is in the box with unopened cleaning kit owners manual and warranty card. I don't think you could find a more complete FBI 1076 gun.
