I got up early and went to the 2 Guys show in Sarasota. I go to the same show when it comes to Port Charlotte frequently and I was hoping to see something different. I met glenncal1 who had a table there and talked with him a bit. There were no reloading supplies to speak of, but I did see one guy with some SPP/SPM/LPP for $100 a brick. One fellow selling reloads actually had a few bags of .22 Jet for $30/50 and I was tempted to buy them. There were quite a few examples of older S&W revolvers there. J, K, L, N and even some X frames could be found, way overpriced per usual. I got in a bit of a tiff with a fellow who had a 657 snubbie (not sure of the -# because he had it under glass). I asked if he had the original box and tools, which he produced. It was a well worn box with some water damage and a label that looked like it came off his bubble jet printer this morning. I looked him in the eye and said “there is no way that label is original”, but he swore it was and was quite offended that I thought otherwise. Oh, and he was asking $3200 for it! I saw a nice single shot .22 for $1500, but I don’t know much about them. There was a .460 X-frame emergency kit for $4500. I found and purchased a clean Model 49 no dash from late ‘68 or early ‘69 for $450 that came with a set of Pacs (which I changed out to Diamond Magnas when I got home). I’ll write it up in the proper section. I also found a Randall in like new shape that was “on sale” for $750, so I offered $550 and walked away with it. Driving out of the parking lot, I happened upon an old fashioned swap meet just down the road. I made a quick trip through there and found two S&W knives and got them both for $20!

The crowd was slow but steady all day, sold quite a bit of stuff. Met Tom, very nice guy. I am debating whether to take a table and the January Port Charlotte show, but don't really have enough left to make it worthwhile.
