Well I hope there are Savage Arms guys here.
I bought it online and got it home from my FFL today.
Watched the video online to disassemble. Simple.
Mag out, lock slide to rear with safety, pressure on hammer turn 90 degree's clock wise remove the breech plug (hammer-firing pin assembly) slide out and put safety to fire.
Slide goes forward but not off the frame. Stops about 3/4? of the way.
Rem sprayed the heck out of it avoiding the grips.
Barrel rotates so I don't believe the barrel lug is frozen into the frame. My only idea is a trusty dead blow malot.
Any ideas from you guys?

The gun has no rust or pitting.

You saved me from giving it a savage beating with a dead blow hammer
Cleaning it up now. Dirty but the inside looks great.
A little slop in the slide to frame though. Wiggle.
Is that normal?

Mine has a very very slight bit of wiggle, but it's still pretty tight.
There is also a bit of movement fore and aft if you push on the slide.

I picked one up 2-3 years ago, I like the .32's of that era. It came with a vintage holster.

Neat little guns. The only model in that era of pocket pistols with a "double stack" magazine of sorts.

Until John T. Callahan retired a few years ago, you could get your pistol lettered for something like $25. Based on circumstantial evidence I'm about 87.6% certain I nailed the guy my Savage lettered to ;)

I see yours has the loaded chamber indicator.

So has mine from the Portuguese military contract, it was refinished though.

Mine always seems to hang up there, and I just tried the trigger (didn't seem to help).

I just put a rag down in front of it, pull the slide back some and slingshot it off. I think the barrel catches, it rotates fine but there's just enough resistance to keep it from moving free from a stop.

I was going to try that.
Then I thought about a dead blow hammer.
But the trigger worked great getting it off.
Just a little pressure, not a full squeeze.
This is my first Savage 1907.
Sure glad it isn't mint.
Have a lot to learn about them.
