I guess the rumor is more "active" these days.. I've been seeing it posted around quite a bit.

It has been pointed out to me that this is a hoax. Sorry for being an alarmist.

S. B. 2099 is old and a bit overblown but it was real so I wouldn't beat myself up too bad about posting this. The bill died in the Senate while Clinton was still in office. Always better to be over vigilant than complacent. You just have to be careful to see that something is current info.
This issue is covered in an article in the August America's Freedom magazine(page 42) for those interested. Everybody is an NRA member and gets the magazine, right?
