A couple months ago there was a 3913 for sale here. No, that's not the scam. That event reminded me that at one time I had a hankering for a 3913 so I started looking around for one.

I found a gun shop in Florida that said that they had some police trade ins. Buy Smith & Wesson 3913 9mm Police Trade-in Pistols (Fair Condition) online| Florida Fireams Gun shop

I sent an email asking a few questions and never heard back. I sent another email and never heard back. I then started poking around for more information and came across BBB complaints, customer complaints, and someone saying that there is no FFL registered at their address.

I then googled used 3913 again and this website popped up, Sportsman Superstore). Out of stock but compare the two photos. The scammers stole the photo from Sportsman Outdoors Superstore.

*******s!

I find it interesting that this web site has blocked a parody word from Johnny Dangerously.

This scam activity thrives when commerce is driven underground by over-regulation. This doesn't happen at BestBuy or WalMart.

I reported a number of ads on Cars.com because they were clearly scams. One of the big clues was the seller was supposed to be in Dallas, while all the pictures had palm trees, water, and an interior shot including the nav screen showing a location outside Daytona FL. After more poking around the web some more, I dug up the pictures on a Daytona dealer's website. Hmmmm.

I once got smacked by Facebook for pointing out that an ad was a scam. They said I was "offensive".

I then posted about how Facebook was more concerned about getting paid by scammers than protecting their users. I got smacked again.
