School me on wrist watches please.

Thank you for all your responses. The bug did bite a little but I'm still learning, so I'm not going crazy right now. Love my Raven watch and will add more watches as my knowledge progresses...

Here's one of my Seikos with Bill Yao parts installed to personalize it. Also, a vintage Seiko 6309 dive watch I restored, and the MKII homage next to one of my other favorites, the Orange Monster. It had crazy bright lume when it was new, but it needs to be renewed now. The 7S26 movements (the crown at 4 o'clock) seem to be bulletproof, I haven't had to repair one yet.

I have other collecting interests, like pre-TAG Heuers, and Omega chronographs.

As many have shown there are lots of great watches out there, Seiko makes and has made several quality mechanical watches over the years.
However, the watch you show was made by Bill Yao's MkII company and is pretty cool. They have made many unique watches, many are homage versions of some fantastic older historical models.

About 15 years back I had Bill make this one up for me, it's called the Blackwater model, not sure if they make them anymore, but it's the favorite watch in my collection...

I have not been following his current offerings but can say that his products are quality and you will probably not run into many these days (unless you are at a custom watch symposium or such event), it's nice to have a unique watch rather than one lots of folks are wearing....

Enjoy

To me there are only two brands of watches, Timex and Rolex. Don't own a timex and my tu tone datejust hasn't been worn in 5 years, just sits in the safe next to my 3in 629 protecting it

I have a few inexpensive watches; none of them cost over $200 each.

Top Row:
1. Marathon Navigator Military
2. Citizen Eco-Drive Divers 200
3. Vostok (Russian) Kommandirskie
Bottom Row:
4. Citizen Eco-Drive Divers (1st Gen)
5. Seiko Divers Automatic
6. Timex Iron Man Digital

My newest and favorite is #2

I went years without wearing a watch, same reason—phones are everywhere. But there's something about a nice watch that just ties an outfit together, especially when you're in front of people like you are. I've tried a few different brands too, but nothing too pricey.
