Score Shield 380EZ 2.0 Today

Went to the Pawn Shop Today with my youngest Son & there it was a used Shield 380EZ 2.0 & We scored it for $335.51 + 7% Tax = $359 OTD
Bad thing is it's under recall & will have to go back to S&W & only had one magazine & no box..
I just submitted the serial # to S&W & await the e-mail with the shipping label.. Got a Confirmation #
The Pawn also had a new one for $499.99
We saved $165
Now I'm gonna need a LH holster for the 380EZ
My Son wanted the 380EZ because He has 300 rounds of 380 for his Body Guard & loved the way the EZ felt to his hands..
I will swap the magazine release to LH or leave a note with the pistol for S&W to do that for us..
Pistol was dirty when I took the pictures & needed oiling
Very little wear on this pistol but it has been fired some & carried..

I think We did OK & don't think I could find one cheaper anywhere else..

He also bought a Bass Guitar there today as well..
What's Crazy about that is We owned this bass last year & sold it to a good friend.. He must have Pawned it there?
We sold it to Him for $400 & we bought it back today for $229 OTD.. It's a Rare Jackson Fretless JPB-7 & came with a nice leather strap & nice gig bag..

I will NOTE: That the M&P 380EZ would barely lock the slide lock open on an empty chamber as if the magazine spring was weak..
Only came with the one..
After a dismantle I found the magazine spring in backwards..
I remember a thread long ago about some folks having a last round malfunction & folks scuffing the follower etc. to try an fix it..
Makes you wonder if the problem wasn't just that all along?
It would have stove piped for sure like this on the last round

I just checked mine, and thankfully the s/n is not affected.
You will enjoy the HECK out of it once you get the chance to shoot it.
Barely any recoil, and minimal muzzle flip.

I'm not even going to load it up or try to shoot it till it goes back to the mother ship..
Waiting on the shipping label..
Pretty Sweet pistol IMO..
Looking for a couple extra magazines..
And a Lefty Holster of some type OWB..
Should put that up in the WTB section..
Going out in a while & will stop bye Bass Pro & Rural King to see what they have which is more than likely nothing..
There's not much I think could be improved on these pistols..

I've been eyeballing one of those for my wife at our local Academy. Need something that doesn't have a lot of recoil but is still small enough for concealed carry.

I had asked a guy at the local shooting range as they had a 380EZ on the wall & He told Me he had replaced the magazine springs & recoil spring in the one He had there..
Said it has had over 10,000 threw it as everyone that comes in wants to shoot it first before buying one..
He told me S&W sent him the parts free in the mail..
It is light weight & really does load & rack easily..
We had one before without the safety..

Converted the magazine catch to Left handed yesterday for my son who is a South Paw
I picked up a used Fobus RH Paddle holster at a local pawn shop for the EZ Marked SWEZ9

Since I 1st made this thread my Son Sold the 380 Bodyguard & then picked up the 380EZ
Last Friday I picked up a SD9 FDE to now complete the trio again
Posted about it a bunch on the SD Sigma area
It might be the best handgun bought new S&W for $285 I can remember since the Shield 9mm 2.0 Pre Pandemic
I have had this want to get another Glock & the SD9 just hasn't filled that role but did get me a nice 9mm car gun for cheap

I have wanted a Glock 19X for 3-4 years now & also want a SIG Sauer P320 & P365

That Hk P2000 357 SIG I missed out on two weeks ago caused all of this

all m&p designs especially beginning with the 2.0 are incredibly works of both beauty and functional engineering. up there with john browning in terms of timeless beauty. everytime i see an m&p 2.0 or shield plus or m&p 2.0 fde i just feel good. a rush of dopamine hits me
