I picked up a 1/2 full 12 pound keg of 700-X in a lot of reloading supplies the other day. I got it for a bargain price, not realizing how versatile this powder is.
Looking at the Hodgdon reloading center there are numerous loads for 380 acp, 9mm, 38 special and +P, 357 magnum, 44 special, 44 magnum, 45 acp, and even 45 Colt - every cartridge I reload! Plus a lot of others I don't. Looks like it can be loaded over a pretty wide range of velocities too.
This stuff looks great! Right up there with Unique for versatility. Though from what I've read it meters about as bad as Unique too
Is that why it doesn't seem to be one of those powders that so many people rave about and swear by as their "go-to" powder?
