Scrimshaw grips on Custom Shop 29-2

Does anybody have an opinion as to whether or not the grips on this gun are from the Custom Shop, or were they added later in the gun's life?

I do not believe those are the original grips. The grip line is scribed on the frame so the engraver knows where to engrave to. The grips do not line up perfectly with the edge of the engraving pattern. My guess is they are after market and added. I don't believe the case is factory ae well.

Thanks for the info. I was skeptical about the case as well. It looks like it's from a later production gun instead of a 29-2.

I'm 99% sure those are Altamont Scrimshaws.

I'm not so sure about them being Altamont. I've ordered a number of Altamont grips, and I don't think they offer a right side blind panel (no screw hole).
