The local indoor range lets members shoot rifles, and while it's nice to be able to do so I agree it can be a real PITA when somebody else sets up in the stall next to you with something that has a muzzle brake on it. Because of it I always double up on the hearing protection (plugs + muffs), which is a big help. You still feel the concussion but the noise isn't as sharp.
