Which moon clips, moon clip tools, moon clip holders and holster do you recommend for a 4" model 625 PC?

This moon clip holder looks like it would meet my needs, but I am not sure how it compares to others available:

Moon Clip Holder Moon Clip Holster Moon Clip Pouch | eBay

I plan to use the gun in action pistol matches and would like to have 30+ rounds on my belt for longer courses of fire.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The most efficient (and most expensive) moonclip tool is undoubtedly the BMT moon tool, $80.00:

BMT Equipped, Inc.

Brownells nutdriver type demooner is a great tool at a reasonable price but leaves you needing a remooner (the BMT tool does both):

The Deluxe Moonclip tool does both (I have one but prefer the Brownells tool for demooning). I use the Deluxe for remooning.

Ranch Products has the best deal on steel full moon clips (their website is lame so call them on the phone). I believe I paid something like $35.00 for
100 full moon clips.

For range use you cannot beat the RIMZ HydroCarbon/Polymer full moon clips. You don't need any tools for them and they work quite well. For serious use, the steel ones are more secure but the polymer clips don't bend...

Ez Moon Clips

I am not currently competing and am not up on the latest belt gear.

I agree with, and second, Dale53's recommendations on the BMT moon clip tool, and the Ranch Products moon clips. There are cheaper moonclip loading and unloading tools out there but the BMT tool while relatively expensive at $80 is well worth the expense. You can buy more expensive moonclips, but the Ranch products version works extremely well with the .45 ACP. (If you were shooting the 8 shot model 627 PC, then I would recommend the more expensive TK moon clips) The moonclip holder you choose will depend on the specific type of competition you choose. For both ICORE and USPSA I recommend the North Mountain moonclip holder 4wheelguns.com - North Mountain Moon Clip Holder, they also carry this model for IDPA 4wheelguns.com - NM - IDPA Moon Clip Holder . You can use the IDPA version for ICORE and USPSA, but they are a little slower. Another model, I have seen at the local ICORE matches is the Speed-E-Rack Home although I must admit to seeing more people use the North Mountain moonclip holders. I recommend that you stay with the name brand equipment, rather than the no name stuff on e-bay or Amazon, since the name brand manufacturers will stand behind their products should you have any problems. While the plastic moonclips may work well for practice, I have never seen a competition shooter use them. From what I have read, in the heat of competition, they create more problems than they solve.

First you need to know when your revolver was made. Mine is a JM model it takes the (new style ) moon clips my buddy has the 1989 model and his takes the old style. I think there pretty much the same but his seem to be thicker and won't work in mine. That beeing said I use Rimz moon clips they are made of plastic and you don't need a de mooner, work great. or if you reload like I do, use 45 auto rim brass and a speed loader for comp. use. Hope that helps.
