they have had such things for artillery for a while now. not surprised they would try to downsize the idea.

I have a friend that engages groundhogs at 2 clicks with current technology. Getting fancy new bullets and scopes won't overcome poor marksmanship or shoddy manufacturing. The gang I shoot with has extended the range that we hit targets regularly with good loading techniques and high ballistic coefficient bullets. I'll be using 223 Rem. on 5" (1/2 MOA) @ 1000 yards, with a off the shelf, factory Savage rifle, just a few years ago that was unheard of. The rifle and ammo have proven to be capable of 3", we'll see if I'm up to the challenge. Ivan

I don't see the utility of self guided rifle bullets. Artillery is different with its high trajectory, beyond visual range, and explosive ordinance. With a rifle though, even if you're shooting 20mm, its going to be line of sight and barrier penetration with limited explosive effect, and minimal trajectory correction ability.
