Hello folks.
Please give me your thoughts on this. I am fortunate enought to have a "spare" 6" 617-1 and a "spare" 686-4, both with 6" barrels. I have been trying to decide whether I want to sell/trade them off to get same-model revolvers with 4" tubes (since I have 2 of each now in 6"), or if I should but 4" barrels from MidwayUSA and send everything to S&W for a barrel swap. I know I could probably wait long enough to find the right deal and do the necessary horse-trading, but I am also wondering if when all is said and done it would have been about the same cost to simply have these two re-barreled.
Thoughts?
