Elizabeth Hurley in one and same forPete postletthwaite and Neil Dickson--another Ami.

Some great sites:

Sharpefilm.net the official Sharpe website
www.completeseanbean.com/sharpe.html

15 film box set from between $49.97 and $59.95.

DVD | Blu ray DVDs | CDs | Books | Free Shipping on Orders Over $25 at DeepDiscount.com had a box set for$154.38--well worth it for all the extras including Napoleanic Wars map,Sharpes Eagls dagger letter opener.

I want that set myself.

I bought all the boxed sets at Sam's a few years back. I was replacing my VHS copies. May be possible to find some in the cut out bins at other big box stores. I think the series still ranks as my favorite period piece for all it's qualities.

Same here and including the eight or so Horatio Hornblower movies which starred Ioan Gruffudd. I dont have any of those and only one Sharpes movie--but been wanting them all for ages.

The Sharpe series (book and television) was solid gold - ironically, with the exception in the TV series being Sharpe's Gold...seen it numerous times and still trying to puzzle out what happened there. Despite the limitations of the small screen the show is first-rate. The books stand on their own.

Still need to pick up the rest of the Hornblower series.

For those so interested in naval warfare of the era, there's a new-ish author by the name of Sean Thomas Russell (S. Thomas Russell if the books are being sold in the U.S.) that's not half bad. He's got three or four out now with another expected sometime this year.

That is a great series, the DVDs are well worth it. But the books are even better! and there's more of them. :-)
Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe Books in Chronological Order
I have all the books and all the DVD, and love them!

The Hornblower series is good too, but as a former infantryman I prefer Sharpe.

Thanks for the extras for the both of ya. I need to collect the Stevenson books as I remembe seeing those for sale in hardcover-at Barnes and Nobles sometime back. Im interested in the Russell books too. Id like the Sharpes books too and saw a good dealon the collection listedon Amazon. Been a long time since I enjoyed reading fiction.
