I just took my new 9mm shield to the range today and being a revolver guy all I could say is WOW I love this gun. I put all kinds of ammo thru it and just kept going. My 640 now goes in the safe. Needles to say it will be my new carry gun. But I have a silly question do you think someone will make a butt plug for it like they make for Glocks?

The actual term is "frame plug" ... an internet search for "butt plug" will take you places you probably don't want to go!

There are differing opinions on whether they serve any useful purpose in Glocks. I know that I always put them in the Glocks I owned because I thought they made the grip feel better and look better. Some argue against using them because they think they trap dirt, powder residue, and even water (when you wash your Glock in the sink.)

Personally I would doubt that someone would release one anytime soon. While there are a heck of a lot of Shields making their way into the U.S., there are a lot more Glocks.

I would guess that someone with a 3D printer could make one pretty easily. Another possibility might be the company that makes many of the Glock plugs, Jentra Plug. They likely have the tools to design one... assuming that they thought there was enough of a market for it.

WOW ! I haven't laughed this much or this long since we talked about Lou Ferigno with Sip.
This place has it all, whether you want it or not.

When you wash your Glock in the sink?? I thought they were dishwasher safe!!

Sheilds aren't making there way into the USA. They're already here. They are made in the USA.

OK, for your benefit I'll re-phrase: While there are a lot of Shields being delivered to customers in the United States... there are still a lot more Glocks! In other words, a much larger potential market for a vendor like Jentra Plug ! :D
