Greetings all, new to the forum, looks real good. I tried a prelim search for my issue but wasn't getting any hits. Bought a brand new 380 Shield EZ Perf Ctr a few days ago. On closer examination on unboxing, there's a gap between slide and frame towards the front of the gun that's wide enough for me to easily see the barrel lug and the spring and then clear through to the other side. It strikes me as an open invite for dirt/grime to get into the inner workings. I'd of course clean frequently enough that it's unlikely to be a real functional issue but I've never had a pistol with a gap like that, just strikes me on initial reaction as questionable fit quality. Maybe I'm wrong. I've reached out to S&W too, awaiting their response. I'd appreciate any thoughts/comments, thanks in advance.
