Shield Plus 30 Super Carry Experiences

Anyone purchases a SP 30SC and want to let us know of their experience? Do you regret it or are you all in? Has ammo been easy to find?

Considering an SP purchase as an EDC and not sure if I should go 9mm or 30SC. Convince me one way or the other.

You sorta answer your own question. Is ammo readily available... I just checked and SGAMMO and they have 105 boxes of Federal at 26 bucks for 50. Not too bad a price. Now look at 9mm, endless choices. I would go 9mm, wait and see if how the 30SC works out ,you can always buy one at a later date..

I like mine so far. My 13 rounder flush mag actually fits a 14th round with ease. The 16 rounder on the other hand is unbelievably stiff even after 2 months loaded. Could only fit 15 rounds by hand, but can squeeze a 16th in with my uplula.

I don't own one personally, but I think it's really cool and would like to own one, my only reservation is in regards to ammo availability, especially in the long run since .30 Super Carry doesn't seem to have taken off.

That being said, as long as there are 9mm Conversion Barrels available for the M&P30 Shield PLUS, I'd say go for it, because then you're covered no matter what happens, so it's a win-win.

LGS has one sitting on the shelf, it’s been there for a while now. Marked down twice so far, $450 and comes with a box of JHP.

I’ve thought about it but the ammo situation keeps me from pulling the trigger.

Like the round and would buy and carry if I could count on a steady ammo supply at a good price. I have a 327 Fed Ruger but ammo is hard to find except for some high dollar stuff. Afraid that may be problem with the 30 SC

If I currently carried a Shield+ in 9mm I would. But I bought a Sig P365 before the Plus came out and do not intend to replace it with a Shield.

Since the 30 SC and 9mm have similar recoil having one gun in 9mm and another just like it in 30 would make it possible to do the bulk of my range shooting with less expensive 9mm. If the guns are identical those skills would carry over to the higher capacity 30 SC gun.
