I recently picked up a Holosun EPS Carry for my Shield Plus Carry Comp and ran into a fitment issue that I could use some help with.

However, when I placed the EPS Carry directly onto the slide, I noticed:

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Direct Mounting:
I initially assumed the factory optic cut was compatible with the Holosun K footprint for a direct mount.
However, when I placed the EPS Carry directly onto the slide, I noticed:
- The posts on the slide don’t fully engage with the optic.
- There’s a noticeable gap between the optic and the slide.
- The optic doesn’t seat snugly and can shift side-to-side — it feels like the post holes on the EPS Carry are too small for the slide’s posts, despite the advertised footprint match.

DPP Plate:
I also tried using a DPP mounting plate to solve the issue. Fitment onto the posts is much better — the plate stays secure and doesn’t move laterally. However, there’s still a visible gap between the plate and the slide.
Other Notes:
- The extractor pin is flush with the slide, so I’ve ruled that out as the cause of the gap.
- Is the gap when using the DPP plate considered normal or acceptable?
- Has anyone else experienced this with the EPS Carry on a Shield Plus Comp?
- Are there better mounting solutions or adjustments I should try?
Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
