No. 30SC is a narrower case, so it requires a different breach face. Yout need a 30SC slide, barrel, and mags to convert.

I too just put a red dot on a Plus Comp Carry Shield I bought over the weekend. Shot irons over the weekend, put dot on yesterday late and plan on zeroing in soon..
I’m a trigger snob. And i gotta tell you, short of the Canik Rival S I have, the two new M&Ps in my stable have damn good striker fired triggers (Shield Plus comp and an M&P Comp Carry 2.0) for factory trigger pistols.

I don’t plan on changing anything on this shield. Just buy more ammo and enjoy.
I’m at about 100 or so trouble free rounds so far, between target FMJ and a few mags of Speer JHP +p ammo. Great shooting Micro, very happy so far.

All I did was put on some Dawson fiber optic front/black rear sights and shoot it. I am getting easy hits on 8" steel targets from 35 yards probably 75% or more of the time and I'm no marksman.

Mine has fed every 9mm ammo I have fed it, including 115 gr. steel cased ammo, 147 jhp, 124+p Speer, and 124 standard HST.

I had an original Shield and either it or I was not very accurate, causing me to sell it. I'm guessing the improved trigger has a lot to do with my improvement.

I upgraded the trigger to an overwatch precision and put a Holosun 507k on it. Love shooting mine got over 2.5k rounds through it.

I don’t know why… I totally forgot about Overwatch.
At the time, I had the Steel competitor when it just hit the shelves a year or two back.
Overwatch was the only company that had anything for it, way before Apex… I went with their kit and it was amazing…

I totally forgot about that until I saw that red safety blade..

I may just think about their kit for my Shield Plus… I liked it that much.

I bought mine from a online reseller and it was like $50 off list price "clearance" so at $100 plus the gunsmith cost it was worth every penny.

M'Carbo has a spring kit which I bought but ultimately just went with the overwatch kit.

Put Holosun K series dot optic on it.

Bought a stripped 4" slide for it, then all the parts to build up the slide and put a K series on it and it still rides like that.

Liked it so much I figured I needed a spare/back up for it so now I have two of them. Same 4" slide and same parts to build it up but it sits on a .30 SC frame.

I converted two Shield Plus mags. to .40 S&W and bought a .40 S&W slide/barrel for a Shield. Works great. Only problem is the .40/9MM geometry doesn't work as well in the Shield Plus magazine as it does in the full sized gun magazines. There's not a -2 round penalty for .40 vs. the 9MM. It's more because the magazine is thinner to start with. I can only get 11 rounds of .40 in a converted 15 round Shield Plus magazine. Only took it to the range a couple times. Need to convert two or three more magazines.

And, the holes aren't in the right spot to count rounds with .40 vs. 9MM.

The Shield Plus frame with the .40 S&W top end on it. If it keeps working well I'll be getting the slide milled for a 407K, or an EPS carry (same foot print.) Sorry, this is the other one. A Shield .40 slide with a threaded .357 SIG barrel and compensator. My wife says she can tell the difference between this one and a 9MM but it's not bad at all when shooting it.

Really, an 11+1 .357 SIG or .40 in a package as small as the Shield Plus isn't a bad thing.

Funny…I found it from that online at clearance prices.
They also had Blazer 124 for 10.99 a box, so I loaded up a little bit. Good call… thank you.

I am pleased with my M&P PC Shield Plus 9mm just as it is...for the most part. No major mods required. I thought that the safety lever was a little small and somewhat difficult to operate, so I installed a larger aftermarket 1911-style safety lever. I also had a little trouble gripping and racking the slide, so I installed a TALON textured slide grip. That's it!

What did you do today modify the magazines? And what. 357sig barrel are you using? I have a pc shield 40, and would love the extra capacity and the newer factory trigger. Knowing that this is doable makes me a very happy camper. Does it run reliably with the .40/.357sig?

.357 SIG barrel is from a company called TR Enabling. They do not seem to keep many barrels in stock/available to buy but they usually have some, maybe just not what you need at the time.

The magazine has to be modified. Those little vertical indentions in the straight section just above the taper have to be removed. I used a file on one magazine and I used a hammer and wide common screwdriver on the other magazine. Both worked.

What little I've shot it (two range trips) it worked fine. Be aware that reloads in .357 SIG (loaded for my FNS and M31) are just a bit too long to fit into the magazine. Factory .357 SIG ammo worked fine.

I ran into issues on the 3rd magazine I attempted to convert. I don't know if it's the magazine or the ammo (never got around to measuring it before getting involved in some other projects. The issue was that every so often the rim of the .40 S&W cases would hang up at the back of the magazine. I don't know if that one magazine was just a tiny bit narrower at the back or if that box of ammo had a few rounds where the rim was a tiny bit larger in diameter. Since then I've been putting other stuff together and just haven't gotten back to it. And had some medical issues as well.

I'd have to shoot it a lot more with the two mags. that worked to say I'd trust carrying it. And get the slide milled for a K series Holosun.

It's fun doing stuff like that.

Put an Overwatch trigger and kit into mine tonight, good improvement…but…
With the Overwatch return spring, the return was laggy at the end of the release…to the fact the trigger safety didn’t engage each time.
I tore it down, made sure the spring was on correct, drop of oil here or there, no burrs…nothing. No matter what I tried, could not get it to reset all the way, cleanly.

At this point, it was a 3.5# pull on my gauge after several trieds.

Tore it down again, put the factory return spring back in, bumped it up to 4# pull, and reset perfect every time.

Range time tomorrow.. but just a heads up. My shield 2.0 Plus comp does have a 10 degree striker, but did not have a rounded plunger on it.
So I used the plunger and spring from the kit.
Glad I have a sight press tool.. way easier then hammer and punch.
Hitting the range tomorrow to get a few hundred down the pipe…

Really impressed with this pistol, it carries really nice and shoot outstanding as well.
