Shield Plus optic screws

Newbie here. I have a shield plus performance center with the crimson trace optic. before I ever fired it I mounted a holosun 507 k2. all was well until a couple hundred rounds later the optic came loose and the threads on the screws were damaged.

I have been tried to determine the screw size and pitch so I can purchase some better screws and a tap so I can chase the threads in the slide. I have not been able to determine the correct size and pitch.

I called S&W, gave them my serial number and they were nice enough to send me new screws in 6-32. this fits an m&p compact just right, but the shield plus is a smaller screw.

Some hardware stores have displays on their bolt/nut aisles where you can run your screw into a fixture to determine the size. If yours aren’t too damaged, that may work.

unfortunately the screws are too beat up for that. Thank you for the suggestion.

Optic screws

So I'm having the same exact issue with my optic coming loose and the screws are beat up. What did u end up having to do to fix it?
