Shield Plus PC 4 inch barrel replacement

I just bought a new Shield Plus Performance Center 4 inch with the ported barrel. I wasn't planning to carry it, but in case I changed my mind, I was hoping to swap it out with a non-ported one. I called S&W, and as typical with them, I got the we don't sell those and can't help you response. So I'm asking here, does anyone know where I can get a non-ported 4 inch barrel to swap out, if I wanted? Thanks!

I believe that the Shield PLUS uses the exact same barrel as the PC Shield 1.0/2.0, ergo any factory or aftermarket M&P9 Shield 4" barrel should work, assuming I'm correct. Someone else will have to confirm this though.

Why Smith & Wesson even bothers to offer any configuration of the M&P9 Shield and M&P45 Shield with Ported Barrels is beyond me, considering that 9mm Luger isn't exactly known for it's punishing recoil, and .45 ACP is too low pressure/velocity for porting to have any effect on the recoil. It makes at least some sense for .40 S&W, but still, porting is best reserved for high pressure, high velocity, Magnum cartridges like .357 Magnum/SIG and up.

I myself own a Performance Center M&P40 Shield 1.0 with a 3" ported barrel, yet only bought it because I happened upon a crazy good deal priced lower than ordinary M&P40 Shields. I've even looked into swapping out the barrel, but couldn't find any priced reasonably.

From what I'm reading you have a 4-in shield... Regular Shields are 3.1 inch barrels...
But you can try...mgw gun parts
They stock a large selection of m&p parts.
Including barrels

S&W is very weird about that. I had a Sport II with a fixed stock from when I was living in a restricted state. When I moved to a free state, I asked if they would sell me a buffer tube/spring so that I could just use a MagPul 6 position MOE stock I bought. They said no, that I had to buy an aftermarket one.

Did you call or email MGW, as kiki posted?
Don't rely on website's stack info. Give them a call and ask for your options. They may order parts for you.
