Hello, new shield plus optics ready owner. Love the gun, but hate the front sight. I like Holosun dots, but appears an adapter plate is needed and some others have trouble with adjusting center. Any good direct mount options now available. Thank you.

Honestly the DPP adapter plate off of Amazon works perfectly for the holosun on the shield plus. Barely noticeable, solid and ran for over 2k rounds for me.

You could also get the rear lugs machined off and then the holosun is a direct fit.

Cyelee has some good options which I run on my shield plus. I didn’t like the viridian rfx15 all that much.

For me I’d get the rear lugs removed, just makes more sense long term. But that DPP plate worked perfectly.

Crimson Trace optics will mount directly to your Shield Plus, no plate required. I know the optic snobs turn their noses up at CT’s but I’ve got four on different guns and I'm very happy with them. They co-witness, hold their zero, have a long battery life and shoot just as accurately as more expensive brands.

My favorite on a Plus is the CT RAD Micro Green dot – paid $139 from Amazon.

I would caution against removing the posts on the optic location. Once they are gone, they are gone forever, and it may void the warranty. I put a Holosun 407K on my Shield Plus and had to use a plate to anchor the optic and a shim to get the elevation correct. Knowing then what I know now, I would have gone with a Vortex Defender or Swampfox for a direct mount.
Having said that, I've had no issues or problems with this setup; it zeroed and has held zero ever since.

I couldn't get my EPS Carry zeroed on my RMSc cut Shield Plus because mine had a negative slope to the optics cut. You could see quite a light gap between the slide and an adapter plate.

I sent it to Nameless Armament to get the cut modified to Holosun K and the pocket leveled.

I regret nothing.

Before and after pics.

I run a Mecanik MC02 that came with my now-traded-for-a-Shield-Plus Canik MC09. I'm sure it's a rebranded something, but it's holding out well so far & I like that it is shake-awake and auto-brightness. RMSc no problems mouting except finding the right oddball screws & allen keys for smiths.

I've got three Shield Plus pistols.

Original had the four posts, I removed the rears and shortened the fronts (fronts are bit too tall) and directly mounted a K series Holoson. Great. Zero issues with it.

Bought two 4" 2.0 Shield PC slides and the parts to build them up and also the DPP plates from Amazon. One had an EPS carry on it for a bit (didn't find anything wrong with it but is was out of adjustment range by the time I got POI to POA.) The EPS carry is now on a larger M&P. That 4" slide (bought a .30 SC Shield Plus and used the frame for a 9MM 4" upper) has a K series Holoson on it now. Zero issues The second 4" slide is on a frame built up from a stripped Shield Plus frame I bought. It has an Osight SE on it. Contrary to the ad/text on the sight it would not fit down flat/flush on the slide so another DPP adaptor took care of that for me.
