I see they just came out with the Shield w/out a thumb safety but they forgot to add the ambi slide release. They need to duplicate the same features on the Shield that are on the full size M&P's with ambi thumb safety options or w/out 
and all with ambi slide release since the slide is harder to rack than the full size M&P's.
The mag release does not need to be ambi. I assume most lefties are like me and can drop a mag using their middle finger and S&W's mag releases work just fine.
