Couple of down to earth good ole boys .. an LGS in Atlanta. I saw this the other day .. thought you might find it interesting .. the perspective of the current shortages as seen by a typical independent LGS. I find "Gun Gripes" to be .. always interesting .. as NutNFancy .. and sometime hilarious .. like "TACTICAL ZOMBIE DESTROYER" (two vids) which you can find on your own. Essayons!

Gun Gripes #57 .. apparently embedding is not allowed here I guess.

Sounds to me like a couple of guys trying to legitimize their position and by that I mean legitimizing gouging the customer and perpetuating the shortage. Heck the one guy said it himself he walked into a big box store and bought thirty Tapco mags for 8.49 a pop. You bet your rear end they were brought back to the store, a bloated price tag applied and slapped up on the wall for some slub to come in and buy. No thank you these guys would be added to my list of stores to avoid.

Yeah .. I picked up on that too and you could be spot on .. but the box stores have the buying power to demand large quantities of product at the most competitive prices. I'm 3,000 miles away .. 30 miles to the nearest stoplight .. I won't be visiting their store either .. lol. They were forthright though .. about just as easily posting on GunBroker and selling their AR's for several hundred more. They can't get re-stock .. just holding in-house for their locals.

Gouging .. how about a Marlin mag that lists for $21 going for $82 .. on GunBroker. That's really over top .. Midway sells them for $14, but out of stock of course. I'm seriously looking at the 15-22 .. :D Essayons!
