Okay awesome thread thanks! I'm still on the fence about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to go forward with it. It will help make it a little bit more wieldy, but I'm still not sure if I even want to lose the 18". As it is now, I have it set up with an ACOG 4 x 32 but I want to get a Leupold 1-6x on it eventually. I know the shorter barrel will reduce effectiveness at long range but I don't plan on really shooting out past 200 to 300 yards with it anyway which I think a 14" barrel could handle just fine. As far as cerakote is concerned I'm thinking either Multicam or some sort of camo that will blend well here in the Florida woods. Multicam tropic would be a perfect Florida camo but it hasn't been released yet.
