I don't seem to shoot the magnums as much as I used to,but I do like the guns.
The top one is a 4" Anaconda I bought several years ago off of gunbroker at the top of what I thought it was worth.Checked some prices this morning and Yikes!! It's my shooter/fishing/bear gun.
The bottom one was on that site too wearing 80s era targets, fuzzy photos and a vague description, but I was fairly sure I saw a screw at the front of the trigger guard and got it at the sellers opening price.

Lets see, a old .44 american relic, A civil war era .44 remington new model army refinished, 7 various .44 specials, 2 colt SAA`s, a triplelock, 1950 target, A converted HD, a 24-3 and a ruger flattop, a 5" 29-2, a 44-40 544 wagon trail commemorative, and a browning 92 in .44 mag. (The one with it is a .357 rossi puma)

What makes .44`s sweet is most if not all makes have the throats and bores right. The .45 colt is or can be just as sweet of a cartridge and gun however far more often than not throats and barrels are usualy if not always on the colt single actions they are far over-bored and rugers are often tighter bored they tell me. With the ruger you can ream them out if so but on colts you either have to find oversized bullets or a .357 clyinder and get it reamed to proper size. 38-40`s etc can be used too.
From one standpoint I like the .45 colt even better than .44s. The case is so huge it works at far lower pressures than hot .44 specials and mags. What I dont like with .45s though is the paper thin metal especially in the bolt cuts but it seems to work. I understand the s&w 25-5 could also be oversize in the earlier ones. I have one but mine seems to be fine. I once went out and shot side by side with the same ammo my colt SAA and my 25-5. The emptys dropped right out of the smith but in the colt the cases were stuck, swollen and I had to pound them out!

I had no clue about the Colt SAA til I bought one.The 1st few times I had it out shooting I was very disappointed, but someone on the forum gave me a heads up on those 454s and then that gun became fun.I need to dig it out and go shooting.
