Funny this should come up.
A couple days ago, my wife noticed a kitten following around Neeka, our oldest (and usually cat, skunk, rooster, and coyote-killing) black lab as if Neeka was his mama.
About 9-10 weeks old and the most emaciated cat I've ever laid eyes on. I mean days away from death from starvation and dehydration. His spine and ribs were visible. (just assuming it's a "he".)
So now our 3 black labs and german shepherd have a new sibling named, "Wilbur". Lovinest li'l critter you could imagine. Purrs loud as a Briggs and Stratton.
Lucy, another lab of ours, has adopted the kitten, washing her after she leaves the litter box and, albeit politely, not letting the other dogs near it. There'll be pics once the missus figgers out her new camera software.
