We are in the toughest fight of all time to protect the 2nd. They are coming after ALL guns eventually, so don't think for a minute that you are OK because you don't like black rifles or 30 rd mags. If ALL of the ARs and AKs and 30re mags disappeared tomorrow, "they" would start on the next level.
Your deer rifle would be labeled a "deadly, high-powered sniper rifle".
Your bird gun will become a "deadly 'automatic' shotgun that can be sawed off in 5 minutes and spray hundreds of horrific buck shot".
"They" will want revolvers because a sack of speedloaders could make them WMDs.

I just sent a $50 donation to the NRA-ILA.

Folks...buying a membership does to the NRA doesn't help the lobbying effort. That money goes to gun range grants, scholarships for kids, etc. You have to specifically contribute to the ILA organization if you want your support to go to lobby the folks in congress and make a difference on the hill. If in doubt, research it.

I'm a LEO and have had that checked since I joined. I can only check one though. I've been a cop for 20 years and a volunteer Firefighter for 26. Any way to check both? I'm sure there are others in the same boat.

Nope. Sorry. It becomes a space issue.
We have people that have been all 3 FRs, in two branches of the military, in the NRA, SWCA, and SWHF, but still want us to add their gun clubs, other collector associations, eagle scout, Masons, Elks, VFW, American Legion, sports teams, and scuba flag.
Oddly enough, no one has asked for the concealed carry badge.

Shinny, I asked this question quite a while back, I wanted the DAV. As you can see my Avatar is the DAV symbol. That is how I was able to do it within the rules of the forum, I call home!

I joined yesterday and got the life membership. I also signed my 13 year old son up as a life member as well. Since I bought his lifetime hunting/fishing/trapping license and also his lifetime trout stamp for our state, I also felt that he would like a life membership to the NRA. When I told him about it he replied " Thanks Dad ".

I got my membership packet yesterday and I am now officially an Oathkeeper. I also believe this is a great organization and I believe all Veterans should become a member. If you dont know about Oathkeepers, look them up at Oathkeeper.org.
