A pal called me last week and mentioned he had just bought a SIG 1911 22 auto. He ran about 300 rounds through it (CCI Mini Mags) so far, with no problems. I've been flirting with a few different new .22 autos, but would really prefer a 1911 clone. SIG had issues with the Trailside and Mosquito models, so I'm no longer considering them. The Chiappa is also reputed to be a roll of the dice for FTF/FTE issues. The GSG models seem to be pretty reliable from what I have read elsewhere. I believe the SIG 1911 22 is actually made by GSG for them. Have any of you guys had experience with this SIG pistol? I'd appreciate shared opinions and observations.

Cheers;

Lefty-I have the GSG and it has been a very reliable piece. Seems to be well made and from what I read before buying. The USA distributor has been very responsive for any warranty work needed. Seems like a lot of gun for $300.
