I have used a SIG P210-4 in the past decade as my favorite centerfire semi auto pistol and with advanced age figured that service sights are no longer the best choice for me.

I just got a "new" used SIG P210-6 with factory adjustable sights and like the target sights a lot better than the smaller service sights. The sights were mounted at the factory, I guess. The gun also has the differently radiussed target trigger.

When I pulled the trigger on the 210-6, I thought it was way too light and had been tampered with; it felt like 18 to 22 ounces! I got my trigger scale out and it registered a tad under 3 pounds. The trigger breaks so crisp and clean that it feels much lighter.

The P210-5 and -6 have the hammer unit fixed to the frame with a screw and that helps to avoid any play. This is a feature that my P210-4 did not have but the Swiss guns are so well fitted and have such tight tolerances that the trigger characteristics are always excellent. My P210-6 has a nicer trigger than my P210-4 and than the P210-6 of a friend of mine.

The P210-4 will get a little more rest, semi retired at age 62.

Congratulations on the purchase as I'm drooling on my keyboard.

Thanks guys!

This is a photo how the removable hammer unit is fixed to the frame. This is the nice feature on the 210-6.

Well, the fact that they now have a mag release button is an immeasurable improvement in my book. That damned bottom mag release is the ONLY thing I don't like about my Swiss government issue pistol.

Mine is not a factory mag release but was installed by some gunsmith. A big improvement even though it means that I will have to cut the slot on some mags!
