Jimmy , I have one in 357 sig and couldn’t be happier . I know you asked about 45 acp. I’m sure the 45 performs just as well . Regards , Paul

I don't think they are big sellers, so you may not get too many answers here. My suggestion is to check out the SIG Talk Forum. They have a sub-forum for P320/P250 owners, and you may find some answers there.

I have a P320 compact 9mm with a .357 SIG conversion kit. I have 4,500 rounds through it as a 9mm, and 5,000 rounds as a .357 SIG. In those 9,500 rounds, I've had only two failures to eject, and one failure to feed, all early on. It is the only semi-auto I own where I've never had a failure while shooting one-handed. It's accuracy is very good, and with last year's free trigger upgrade, it has a trigger that is way, way, better than any S&W factory M&P semi-auto trigger. If you're looking at a used one, be sure that the trigger upgrade has been done. If it hasn't, use that to negotiate a better price, then send it to SIG Sauer to get the work done. They even pay for shipping.

If I can to extrapolate from my P320 9/357 experience to .45 acp, I'd say go for it.

Second that. I’ve been pleased with my P320 M17. If they made a similar model in .45 ACP, I’d seriously consider ordering one. It would have to be the M17 configuration though (approximately the same barrel length, thumb safety, and slide already machined for the Deltapoint Pro). Generally, I am not a fan of .45s with barrels much shorter than 4.25”. Overall, I like the M17 quite a bit. :)

I have shot my 320 45acp compact in 4 local EDC shooting competitions. It has been flawless.

Funny thing...

Just sold a 1920 Beretta .32 as a trade on a used SIG Sauer m230,
a .380 PPK - like pocket pistol...Probably late '80's, alloy frame, all black, near new condition, not even holster wear... probably kept in the box most of it's life...W/ box, spare mag, all factory paper work and manual...Made in Germany...
Plan on putting some wear on it now...
They are VERY good pistols!
Hope you enjoy yours.

After Dallas PD banned the P-320 due to safety and reliability issues and the Army had those problems, I decided to take a wait and see attitude. If the guns pan out well in the military for several years and no more issues arise, I might consider one. But probably not in .45.

It's an ugly gun and part plastic, so I'm not thrilled by it.

I should add that Dallas uses several other SIG-Sauers, so their reaction to the P-320 was a serious factor in my rejecting it.

I hope the trigger revision solves all the problems.

Do you know why the P-230 had to be evolved into the P-232 to correct flaws? I've forgotten.
