Sigma .40 cal. sights replacement

Well, the thing about Trijicon sights is that if you start pounding on them to drive them into the dovetails, you can break the glass holding the tritium. There goes $100 bucks.
So I would suggest it is prudent to use your sight pusher or hire somebody who has one and knows how to use it.

The front sight on the Sigma doesn't use use a dove tail but is just plastic which seems to be melted and flattened out inside the slide to hold it . I wonder if the replacement front sight requires a dove tail or what? I can't tell by the picture. Thanks! :) I'd rather get some cheaper ones if I can find some. someone re glued the front sight on that's why I would like to get another set.

I suspect it installs the same way as a Glock - threaded bolt from the bottom, through the hole in the slide, up into the body of the sight, held in place using Loc-tite.

I put night sights on my old SW9VE and indeed front sight installation was identical to Glock. Remove plastic sight, new metal sight snaps into hole, put a small amount of loc-tite on a small screw and insert through the bottom of the slide. Believe it or not it was the rear sight I had issues with. Was very loose and could be pushed out the slide without much pressure. I ended up having my armorer drill a hole through it, thread/tap it and insert a set screw. I believe the sights were old stock meprolights.

Sounds good is the front sight pretty close to the same height as the stock sight? Thanks for the info. :)
