Sigma bible?

I'm thinking of writing a "Sigma bible". Some of you may have seen the Walther P22 bible if not you can google it. I wanting to do something like that for the Sigma.

It would be a complete "how to" guide. From complete disassemble to reassemble, trigger work, polishing, and so on. It will have pics, and good detailed instruction. I not saying I'm the expert or a gunsmithing guru god.

I think to may help with those that have owned for years and new people to the Sigma.

What do my fellow Sigma fans think?

Don't have a P-22 but it looks like a great reference if I ever decide to get one. A similar reference for the Sigma would be great!!!

I'll be glad to take a look at it when you get a chance to send it. From your description I'm not sure if it's the direction I'm going with it. I going for more of a complete break down and how to kind of a thing.

Are they really that closely related? I was recently in our LGS and the guy behind the counter was telling me how closely related they are, and to prove it, he broke down a G23 and attempted to replace my barrel with the G23 barrel. No go. Did he just not know what he was doing? Or have there been some changes or something (i.e., certain generation Glocks match up with certain generation S&W's)?

I did find a you tube video a 1 time where a guy was comparing a sigma to a G23. He pointed out all the reasons the Sigma was better. He try fitting the barrels but they wouldn't go.

For some reason the Sigma is better to him in so many ways. At the end somehow the glock is still the better gun to him.

They're pretty darned similar in how they work - close enough that a tear-down manual for the Glock will tell you everything you need to know about the Sigma.

As far as the other, I remember a police officer working behind the counter of a gun store putting the top end of an early Sigma (not the VE) on a Glunk (or vice versa - I can't say for sure now that it's been nearly 20 years) and smirking when the trigger dropped the striker.

A Sigma bible would be quite informative. I'd get a copy How much different is the Sigma from the SD? I am thinking not a whole lot but am thinking there may be some other than looks and the lighter trigger.

I would like a bible on the sigma. I have a swve9 and a book on them would sell, I would think so. I know my friend would buy it too for his 9mm sw9ve .
