Ok guys let me start by saying hello. This is my first post but I have been lurking around on the fourms for awhile.

My question is for you sigma guys. Which slip on grips do you have/perfer and why?
The Hogue or Pachmayr? or any others you know of.
All input is welcome

Hi! Welcome to the forum. I have a Pachmayr slip-on with finger grooves on the front for my 3913 and it works great. Hope that helps some.

Yeah I have just been on the fence about which one to pick up. I have heard good stuff about both so IDK. Kinda leaning more to the Hogue. Any more input on this would be great guys.

Hey welcome to fourm, I have 2 sets of hogue grips. They are alot thicking in rubber then the pachmayr, gives better recoils and they simply look great on a sigma. if you have big hands these will work great. pm me if you want to see a picture of a sigma with the hogue grip on it. If you leaning towards the hogue grip let me know i have an extra brandnew pair sitting around.

UPDATE: Just to let you guys know I just got my Hogue Handall grip for my sw40ve and all I can say is WOW!!! With the new grip and the trigger job I can honestly say this is THE BEST GUN on the market in its price range. Nothing out there that I have shot at the $300-$400 even comes close to the sigma.

+1

I was going to go with the pachmayr but ive heard of people tearing them while trying to get them on so I went with the Hogue HandAll and couldn't be happier!:D

I do not and would not EVER use any slip on grip. They can and do ride up and interfere with magazine release function. Use caution.

In addition, they are a pain to put on and a bigger pain to take off.

I have a Hogue on my 40 and a pachmayr on my 9mm ve. So far they work great. The Hogue is actually for a Glock, so it required some trimming when I originally got it. I may switch it to a Pachmayr also.

I would also look into slip on grips made by "Limbsaver." This is a company that makes a variety of recoil pads, but I have found their pistol grip sleeves better than the ones mentioned above, and currently have them on a Walther PPS and a Walther P99. If you Google "limbsaver recoil" I am sure you'll see it.

Sounds to me like you got one that was too big for your gun.
I know from experience that the Hogue Handall is a vary tight fit on the sigmas and due to the handle design would be virtually impossible to interfere with the mag release.

I've had a a set of Hogue Hand-alls on my Sigma 40F since I bought it new some 12+ years ago. It increases the "gripability" of this piece which is important to me since developing arthritis in both hands. The Sigma 40 is softer shooting than my 4006, a 3rd generation, all steel semiauto.

Best of luck,

Dave

Is this the trigger mods the ones by changing out the springs?

I have a Hogue on my Sigma and I really really like it! My hands aren't so much "big" as they are long but that Hogue fills up my hand very nicely. I really like that palm swell.

Pachmayr makes a sleeve and a glove- the sleeve is just the rubber sleeve and doesn't provide any bulk. The grip-glove has a bulge in the center of the sleeve, to add some bulk. I have both, one for a pistol that's a little fat, and the grip-glove on my SD9, cause I needed the grip a little thicker.
