Before I spend some $$$ on some Hollow Point ammo for my SW9VE I was wondering is there some brands to stay clear of with the Sigma? or will it eat most?

I use WWB for plinking and Hydra Shok's 124 grain JHP for carry ammo. Mine eats anything but before S&W polished the feed ramp and throated it I had light 7 strikes and 2 stovepipes in the first 400 rounds of assorted brand name ammo. It is now flawless. I also complained about the trigger and they "adjusted trigger" and now it is really pretty good.

Never had my Sigma fail with any ammo.

+2 (Had a couple light strikes after changing the striker spring to a 3.5lb, but went back to stock and gun is 100% again)

You should have tried the 9X50mm... Now that is hot stuff!

The Sigmas seem to like just about any brand you can feed it. Except for the afore mentioned 9X50mm stuff.

Just had 1 winchester 124g JHP(really cheap at Wal Mart) wedge into the feed ramp instead of feed. That was the second round of the first clip of HP though if that matters. Fed the rest of the box fine.

I've put 1000+ rounds through my SW9VE w/out a single issue. For practice I've used Winchester white box, Blazer, some Remington UMC, and finally a couple boxes of American Eagle. All those were FMJ.

I've also tested some SD JHP rounds, shooting Speer Gold Dot, Hydra Shok, and Federal HST w/out a hiccup.

Never had any problems with mine as well.
Have put about 4000 rounds of various ammo.

Another +1 for feeding anything to my SW9VE. I primarily use Fiocchi 115gr FMJ and have never (knock wood) had one fail to go bang!

Also no issues with WWB's. The only problem is actually finding them!

Hello-

I decided to join the forum to mention my experience with Sellier & Bellot 9mm Luger Range ammo in my Sigma 9ve.

I grabbed a couple of boxes of it at a gunshow, just to give it a try, because of low price.

I am glad I limited myself to only 2 boxes, because I barely made it through 1.

Problem? Failure to eject. And those few casings that did eject, got plumb scary, with one wildly flying back into my eye (glad I had my shooting glasses on.)

Now, I have never had any other ammo give me this type of problem. Like so many here have stated, my Sigma has eaten everything else with glee.

As for that 2nd box of S&B 9mm, it will probably sit, unless I work up the courage to try it in another firearm...
