Snagged a clearance 30SC off of Grabagun.
Mainly wanted it as a cheap way to get a plus, and planned to just swap my og 9mm slide over for most of my shooting.
This got me thinking about putting the 30SC slide on the og frame. I used the 7rd 9mm shield mag with the original Magguts springs and follower. It works....mostly. I only loaded 5 rounds in the mag as the feed lips seem a bit wider, and I was worried the rounds may pop right out the top if there was too much pressure. You have to run the action as fast as possible to get it to feed, dropping an open slide causes a jam. When shooting it worked great. I think if someone wanted a single stack 30SC (for whatever reason) you could tweak the lips a bit and have a reliable weapon.
I was interested in 30SC to begin with as on paper it looks great. After shooting it, I really enjoy it, I can definetly see myself shooting a lot of it.
