Ok guys,

You have talked me off the fence before time for another round.

19-2 Round butt in 99+ condition with box and paperwork, 2.5 in barrel.

Now the question:

I offered $750 feeling I was right at or above value he wants $900, I don't want to go nuts even if it is a nice piece.

Other added benefits, local sale no FFL fees or shipping.

Help!!

Yeah you are, especially if it isn't p&r.
That seller is way high.Tell him to take a hike.

Have you guys seen what they are going for
On GB these days? They are breaking a grand almost
everytime lately. That's for dash threes.
The other week a dash two went for
$3250.
There's a thread here on the forum about it.
For a pristine dash two I don't think
nine is that high.
I wouldn't pass it up.

Not saying I would or would not, just consider. FFL fees + shipping could be $100 more or less. Add in the fact, that you can see the gun, and there's no shenanigans going on.
I have a 99+ 19-3 with box, tools, and original receipt....750 ain't getting it.

It's always easier to spend someone elses money.

If you want it, ask the seller to meet you in the middle. It's more money than I would want to spend, but compared to what S&W charges for new revolvers, the price is right there.

It all comes down to why you want it.Are you a collector. The price of these guns keeps going up.I'm sure in a year or two you will be ahead of the game.It might seem a lil high but I don't know that particular gun so I can't say. I know if you look at my avatar that is a gun I spent 5 1/2 years looking for. I knew what I wanted and condition. It seemed high when I bought it, but today I know I could get my money plus half again back.I also got all his ammo 4 1/2 boxes. I am a beginning collector and that 29-2 was my first purchase as far as smiths go.I would still see about getting him to come down some.Heck offer him the 750.00 and throw in some trade.

$900.00 is a lot of money but you don't have to pay sales tax, shipping, or FFL fees, so as Lader13 noted subtract $75.00 - $100.00 now you are looking at an $800.00 investment.

Do you want an M 19-2 2 1/2" badly enough to spend $800.00 for one?
