Sling Quick Disconnects

One of the rifle slings I purchased has quick disconnects on it - Store - Paracord Rifle Sling

Recommendations for mounting the receiver portion of the qd on the rifle itself?

I use a gear sector QD rail mount point for the front and then my magpul stock has a QD mount point built in.

Are the mounts the same size? It looks like the loops where the sling goes through varies in width, but do the disconnect "buttons" vary in diameter?

The "buttons" are pretty universal, but the size and shape of the loop varies quite a bit. Typical ones are a little wider, but I kinda like the smaller "D" shaped ones Damage Industries sells. To each their own.

As for the rail adapter, Gear Sector is great if you're mixing this with rail covers. If not, look at Fortis or Impact Weapons Components for some really low profile mounting points for the front.

I believe the QD buttons are the same. I have several different types from various manufacturers and they all fit the different mounts I have.

As gotfish mentioned above, Fortis makes a pretty nice mount. I have the gear sector on my 15-22, but I use a Fortis on my AR-15 because I lack the rail space for a Gear Sector. The Fortis is nice and very light. Fortis RAP? - Rail Attachment Point
