Sling swivel and magpul hg

Do you have to alter the front sling swivel when using these hand guards?

I looked at images of both S&W ARs and Colt and it appears both have the same front sight/barrel dimensions where the sling would attach. I have a Magpul hand guard and the factory sling attachment point is still very functional with no alterations.

You are going to have to be more specific, as Magpul makes several hand guards... some will require removal of the sling attachment.

You could always go to the Magpul sight and read the specs...

sorry...should've been more specific...the MOE hand guard by Magpul. Not the SL.
