If you do a search using "promag" as the keyword, I think you will find a bunch of posts as these have been discussed many times. Some people don't have any problems with them, others have thrown them away. I've never used them but have enough S&W factory mags that they never interested me.

I have heard more bad than good about them. But I'll bet most of those negative reports were from those that don't even own one. I do own some and I personally haven't experienced any problems. I believe that they will have about as many probems as S&W mags. I believe they are lifetime warranted, so send them to Promag and they will send you new ones. And since they seem to cost about half as much as S&Ws...Duh

And w/ the current follower problem that the M&P 9 has developed, the Promag may be the only game in town, so to speak. I have 2 and no probs so far. Biggest prob I have had w/ Promags in the past is soft steel in the feed lips. They may have fixed that, time will tell.

I just got two of they yesterday, I have yet to try them. I did load them up and hand cycle the action and they fed just fine, so I have hopes as S&W mags are nowhere to be found.
