Looking at picking this up, but am not too sure on exactly what it is with regards to why it is unfluted- small production, Lew Horton, Classic Hunter, etc.?

It is a 629-3, appears to be a 6", but the seller says it is a 6.5". Obviously full underlug and unfluted cylinder. Non original grips and no box. What would something like this be worth in today's market?

Appears to be stock grips, 6 inch . I bought mine new back when they first came out . The Dash 3 had many variations. That one will be a square butt, not drilled for scope, has the endurance package, no spring loaded front sight.

ALL 629's with no lock are worth either side of $1000 to either side of $1200 depending on who you ask.

Both those revolvers are second run (2000 produced) 629-3 Classic Hunter models. Six inch full lug barrel (non standard, as the regular classics were 6.5), black front ramp, non fluted, old style rear sight, square butt (unique for full lug), stamped instead of laser etched. Came factory with Hogue rubber grips.

First runs were 629-1 and 629-2.

IMO the -3 is more desirable as it has the full endurance package.

Here is mine atop a 5" 629-3 Classic and 5" 29-6 Classic.

Unfluted 629

Here’s mine. I purchased from a cousin’s estate. The receipt in the box says it was purchased in 1991 for $450.A6DD1994-5853-4018-8C83-79DC43E5E245.jpg
