Don't have a 360 but have a M&P 340, which is the hammerless version. And I love mine. I haven't pulled off any full house magnums. But put a box of IMI 38+P+ very comfortably. And is easy to conceal in a pocket with a pocket holster.

360J is a great J frame 38. I have had mine since 2012 and carry it or a 638. The little 38 is very accurate in both double and single action. The 360J is only a 38 special. I use Speer GD 135gr +P Short Barrel or Underwood GD 125gr +P loads. With these 2 loads I see no advantage to a 357 magnum in a light J frame with a 1 1/8 in barrell, anything more is just a flame thrower.

Saw one last month at my LGS. Out of time on one chamber or I would have bought it. Terribly happy to hear of everyone else finding low prices on this model... there are no such low prices here in the valley. Same with the gas... $0.50 higher than the national average.

There are some for sale on Gunbroker. What I worry about is getting one with a defect, such as out of time or a cocked barrel, or cylinder face not square with end of barrel, etc. I have seen these defects on new j frames at local gun shops. Then if I send it back to S and W, they may say "that is within our specifications".
But I would still like to have one.

Roll the dice?

They are limited production runs. Have your local gun shop order you one from their distributors. S&W will stand by their products or have a good gunsmith work on it for you. I purchased my 638 used from Cabalas and the previous owner either salted everything he ate and sweated it out into the innards of the 638 or dropped it in salt water. I had a local gunsmith redo the action for 75 bucks and it triggef turned out bettef than the 360j that he did for me first. Nothing in life is certain, if you want the gun buy thd gun:)

You are absolutely right. Nothing in life is for sure. Thanks for giving me inspiration.
