I am trying to identify which early model of S & W would have used this box. Dimensions are 7 5/8" long, 3 1/4" wide and 1 3/8" tall. I have found info that show a Model 1 1/2 used a box 8 7/8" long, 5 1/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. My best guess is maybe a Model 1 .22. Thx Jim

Hi There,

Okay, I'll show you some pics of two of mine.

(1) - This is a .32 SA with Mottled grips, SN 32072. This box is
the same size as the OP's box.

(2) - This is a .32 SA with early non monogrammed grips SN 1894.
This box is slightly larger at 8-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 1-3/8".

Cheers!
Webb

Referencing Webb's photos, the difference in the dimensions of the two boxes is due to the 3" vs 3 1/2" barrels.
