I have here a box I haven't seen before
It's just like a traditional S&W box with the metal corners, but it's light blue. The only identifying sticker on it is a handwritten sticker that says "820." It has a pair of Model 820 handcuffs in it, although I doubt it's the original box for the cuffs.

Any info on these light blue boxes?

The silver boxes were indicative of a nickel plated firearm! :)

Marcus,
According to the end label 820, I would say your box was used for the Model 820 Lead Chain.
Here are a few of my Belly Chains 800 & 810, Lead Chains 820 & 830.
S&W did not make specific boxes for these.

I agree with Marcuswat91. Nickel firearms were shipped in the silver boxes. Here's one of mine.

Well, I forgot the the inside of the box talks about "this gun."

It's fine, though, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have some kind of ultra-rare box. :)

Some of the boxes for the 800, 810, 820 & 830's I have, also have that printed inside the bottom half and are dated April 15, 1955 like yours.
Some other boxes are blank inside.
S&W used whatever they had on hand at the time when they did not have designated boxes for a product.
